SCHEDULED ONSITE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT ACTIVITIES
1. Fileserver and workstation preventive maintenance, "health check", and
optimization including disk testing and security review.
2. Test backup and review backup procedures.
3. Any system reconfiguration required for any part of the network.
4. Upgrade, installation and relocation of
hardware or software as required.
5. Resolution of outstanding support issues and trouble-shooting LAN problems that
internal administration resources are unable to resolve.
6. Report to management on support call issues, network issues, staff training,
and LAN administration.
7. Consultation on and implementation of "best fit" software and
hardware strategies for bilingual environments.
8. Assisting the implementation of corporate IT standards and strategies.
9. Managing and co-ordinating on-site activities of third party vendors
and service suppliers.
10. Virus control and systems security procedures.
